The World-Renowned Quebec VFX Industry

On this first World VFX Day, #worldvfxday, on behalf of Hybride, I wanted to take a moment to highlight the remarkable quality of the visual effects produced here, in Quebec. As a member of the Hybride team for over 30 years, I've had the opportunity to experience at first hand the evolution and creativity of this industry, which has gradually become a worldwide reference (worldwide!). The credits at the end of your favorite films and series are undeniable proof: the biggest productions call on the expertise of Quebec studios, year after year.

A special thought for Daniel Langlois, who was a key figure in our industry, and thanks to whom we have been able to achieve such a high level of excellence.

Over time, we've also experienced the industry’s resiliency. It has managed to weather the storms to eventually bounce back, resume its progress, and become even stronger! I emphasize this point because we all know just how great the challenges have been in recent months. We've had to make some tough decisions, and although we still have ways to go, we can finally see the sun rising on the horizon.

Our ecosystem is robust, the next generation joining our studios is talented and better prepared, and the constant emulation of our expertise keeps us at the pinnacle of creativity and innovation.

Today, we salute the work of the artists, supervisors, producers, coordinators, managers - in short, all the professionals who contribute to the success of our industry every day. Thanks to you, we'll continue to inspire, amaze and move audiences around the world for a long time to come.
