Hybride receives honours at prestigious Creative Arts Emmys

Disney’s The Mandalorian Wins 14 Emmys including "Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Series or Movie"

Hybride, Quebec’s visual effects pioneer and Ubisoft film division, saw the immense talent of its VFX specialists recognized for their participation in the production of Disney’s popular series The Mandalorian by winning "Best visual effects in a series or a film" at the prestigious Creative Arts Emmys, that took place Sept. 11-12. 2021 in Los Angeles.

It is with great pride that Joseph Kasparian, Creative Vice President and VFX Supervisor at Hybride joined ILM’s Hal Hickel, Animation Supervisor, VFX producer Abbigail Keller and Environments Visual Effects Supervisor Enrico Damm on stage to accept the coveted trophy for The Mandalorian, who won a total of 14 awards during the evening!

“We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of this incredible adventure. We are for the confidence Lucasfilm has shown us and feel extremely privileged to have had the chance to showcase the expertise and know-how of our teams by collaborating on the most watched show of all streaming services,” says Joseph Kasparian.

Hybride has produced an impressive total of 883 VFX shots for this 2nd season of the popular series. This is even more impressive considering that almost all the VFX have been completed remotely by the Hybride staff.
