Bringing Marie-Antoinette to life with unprecedented realism meant interweaving footage shot entirely on a green screen with real-life digitally captured backgrounds. All actors were filmed in front of a green screen while real background environments were filmed on location at various historical locations throughout the French countryside. Hybride artists spent an entire year seamlessly integrating over 926 shots from two visual sources via digital compositing techniques.
