All moving shots were filmed in front of a blue screen and had to be painstakingly integrated into virtual environments that reflected Miller's graphic style. By creating a number of stunning effects such as the menacing wolf "splattered-ink" blood 100 000-man armies from 30 stand-ins as well as organic effects such as snow rain and mud Hybride artists successfully transposed Grant Freckleton's artistic direction onto the big screen.
