Hybride, a division of Ubisoft, in a new collaboration with Industrial Light & Magic, is extremely proud to have contributed to the stunning visual effects of Disney’s highly anticipated fantastical adventure, Tomorrowland.
To help bring Disney’s futuristic vision of Tomorrowland to life, Hybride artists skillfully crafted 68 VFX shots that include an array of holographic and projection effects, as well as image treatments for different scenes throughout the movie. Hybride’s team was also responsible for the stunning motion graphics on the Virtual Reality Room sphere, as well as the ones generated by the projector-type invention used by Casey to discover Frank’s past.
In this sci-fi spectacular, a former boy-genius (George Clooney) and a gifted teenager (Britt Robertson) set out on a dangerous mission to unearth the secrets of “Tomorrowland”, an enigmatic location caught between time and space. What they must do there changes the world—and them—forever.
Directed by Brad Bird (The Incredibles & Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol), the movie also stars Hugh Laurie, Judy Greer, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key, Pierce Gagnon and Tim McGraw. Distributed byWalt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Tomorrowland was released in theatres on May 22, 2015.
